Catch a ride with us this Saturday to the Blackberry Arts Festival in Coos Bay! We'll be departing in the church vans from the Reedsport Church of God parking lot at 12pm sharp, returning at 3:30pm. The Blackberry Arts Festival is a juried art show, meaning that all the items in the artisans market have been reviewed by a committee. The art for sale ranges from smaller items at about $10 all the way up to large pieces, featuring metalwork, jewelry, quilts, candles, hand-painted clothing, wine, carved wood, and much more. Examples of past blackberry-related items available during the festival include blackberry pies and cobblers, blackberry smoothies and ice tea – as well as non-food items such as blackberry soap and blackberry candles. There will also be a food court featuring local restaurants, a Kid Zone with entertainment, arts & crafts, games & prizes, live music on the stage at Central and 3rd Ave., and a Chalk-Fest at the Coos Art Museum that encourages anyone to grab some chalk and draw!
