On August 11, 1957, four families rented the I.W.A. Union Hall in downtown Reedsport for the first Church of God Sunday school and service. We'll have several special events today to celebrate how God has blessed our church. First join us at 8:30am and 10am for a panel spotlighting some of our local ministries. We'll have Stephanie Linseisen representing Safe Families for Children, Kristi Peck representing Pacific Pregnancy Center, and Kristen Zetzsche representing the Lower Umpqua Ministerial Association. Come learn more about the missions that are happening right on our doorstep. After the 10am service, we're offering free lunch in the parking lot. (Donations welcome.) Stay and visit with all the people who make up our church family, and maybe see some new faces too! At 12:30pm we invite everyone back into the sanctuary for cupcakes and a community hymn sing. Linger a little longer to praise God with the songs that churches like ours have used for generations. Here's to another 67 years!
