Our past Events

Take a look at some of the activities in the life of our church! Click on each photo to see more.

  • Each summer we  spend one Sunday worshiping outside together. Our service is often followed by a potluck, games, and baptisms.

  • Our Christmas and Easter choirs are fun and informal, open to singers of all ages and abilities. When we haven't been able to sing together, we have relied on virtual choirs instead.

  • Each Halloween we close the road in front of the church to create a safe place for kids to come trick & treat. All kids are welcome! During COVID we used an alternate Mobile Trunk & Treat to deliver candy across town.

An Evening of Celebration & Dedication

On Sunday, May 13, 2018, our congregation gathered to thank God for our new sanctuary expansion, to dedicate it to his use and glory, to reflect on our past and our future, and to honor some people who have given their lives to the service of the church: Evelyn and Norm Mayfield, the daugher and son-in-law of our church's founder, who helped construct our building and have tirelessly worked to support its ministries for more than 60 years; Donna Kenagy, who played piano for our worship services for 40 years and continues to provide invaluable leadership; and Wes Lockard, the jack of all trades, who most recently supervised our fundraising and construction of the new sanctuary expansion. We are so grateful! Please click here to see some photos of the celebration.

Kids Matter!

Kids matter in the Reedsport Church of God--they're important to God and they're important for our church. One way we demonstrate that value is in the gallery of handprints and footprints that generations of kids have memorialized on the walls of our 4th and 5th grade Sunday school classroom. It's finally time to repaint those walls and start afresh with a new generation of kids, but take a moment to click here to see how many hand and footprints you recognize from the history wall of fame.
